Join Sunwater as a Business Accounting Officer, where you'll play a vital role in the finance team driving financial excellence through a rules-based approach, ensuring clarity and accountability in owned responsibilities while supporting the business. You will challenge the status quo, and foster collaboration across our finance communities to optimize value and sustainability for our utility and its stakeholders.
As a Business Account Officer at Sunwater, you will:
- Prepare financial transactions & records, including journals, reconciliations and month end processes
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of transactional activity compliant with accounting guidelines
- Administer and support cost accounting processes, as well as budgeting and forecasting processes when required
- Administer and support activities associated with Sunwater's business accounting ERP master data.
We are seeking a talented individual with a proven track record in accounting and be working towards your CA or CPA.
This role is a 12-month contract position
. You will hold tertiary qualifications in accounting, business or equivalent discipline. You will also bring:
- Analyse Financial Information:
Research and analyze financial information to support sound financial management and answer stakeholder queries - Strategic vision:
Ability to design and deliver project, program, portfolio improvement strategies and programs - Communication skills:
Excellent communication skills with a knack for writing and presenting quality reports and findings to senior leadership, including the Board and executive leadership team
This role offers an array of attractive benefits including:
