We are seeking an experienced Risk and Compliance Officer to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. This pivotal role ensures that Pulteney operates within all relevant legal, regulatory, and policy frameworks, supporting the implementation and monitoring of compliance, risk management, and governance practices across the School.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain the School's risk and compliance systems (including CompliSpace).
  • Oversee student data integrity and reporting requirements, including Synergetic and government statistical reporting.
  • Lead risk management initiatives, including policy updates, audits, and Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Plans.
  • Monitor changes in legislation and regulations and maintain the School's compliance calendar.
  • Administer policy management frameworks and key registers, including contracts, WWCC, and training records.
  • Act as the School's Privacy Officer, overseeing privacy management plans and staff training.
  • Support WHS initiatives, including hazard reporting, inspections, and induction/training.
  • Provide reports and advice to the Principal, Board of Governors, and sub-committees.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in law, business administration, risk management, governance, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in risk and compliance, governance, or policy administration within a complex organisation (education sector highly regarded).
  • In-depth knowledge of South Australian legislative and regulatory frameworks relevant to education, WHS, child protection, and employment.
  • Experience with risk management software and systems (such as CompliSpace).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with high attention to detail.
  • High standards of integrity, discretion, and professionalism in handling confidential information.
