We're Hiring: Cyber Range (DCR) System Engineer – Canberra Based

NTT DATA is seeking a Cyber Range (DCR) System Engineer to support an RFQ for one of our premium clients in Canberra. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Location: Canberra (on-site required; hybrid up to 2 days WFH may be considered)

Contract Duration: 24 months (with potential for extension)

Security Clearance: Must be an Australian Citizen with NV2 clearance or above

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and document systems integrating software, hardware, and infrastructure.
  • Develop prototypes and monitor system integrity.
  • Monitor existing systems, analyse defects, recommend solutions, and support capability lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with legislative frameworks.
  • Install and maintain software/hardware, and monitor system performance.
  • Engage with stakeholders and manage engineering specifications.

What You'll Bring:

Essential Skills:

  • Strong experience with Windows & Linux OS
  • Networking technologies expertise
  • Systems Engineering on medium-large projects
  • High/low-level design and reference architecture
  • VMWare virtualization
  • Object-oriented programming experience
  • Excellent communication skills

Desirable Skills:

  • Cyber operations experience (defensive/offensive)
  • Familiarity with Cyber Training
  • Vendor certifications (VMware, Microsoft, Linux)
  • Programming in C# and Angular
  • Experience with Ansible, Terraform, Docker
  • CI/CD pipelines and agile development
  • Systems/software testing and simulation for training

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Tertiary degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Certified SAFe Practitioner (can be completed upon engagement)
  • Desirable:
  • INCOSE Certification as a Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) – Systems Engineering
