He developed DECIEM to be a happy family (of people and beauty brands), rooted in kindness, creativity, diversity, and respect, alongside Co-Founder, Nicola Kilner.We are growing rapidly and we're looking for someone who shares this vision and wants to grow with usWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORWe are looking for a part-time Counter Manager with retail management experience and a passion for skincare to deliver excellent customer service and education to our customers.You will lead a wonderful team of 3 Counter Associates at our Myer Sydney Counter.You must be available to work 35 hours per week across Tuesday to Saturday.WHAT YOU'D BE DOING IN THIS ROLESupervise all staff within your location and oversee employee relations, sales, merchandising, customer experience and all operational functionsRecruit, manage, mentor and develop and staff to maximise sales, profitability and exceed agreed key performance indicatorsComplete scheduling counter requirements by scheduling and assigning 'zones' to employees, while ensuring to have a fully staffed counter at all timesManage all operational costs to keep the counter profitable and inform the Area Sales Manager of any pertinent issues (petty cash, daily banking, POS System, payment processor etc.)Ensure the day-to-day operations of the counter are compliant with the company requirementsCommunicate the changing needs of the counter to the Area Sales ManagerControl stock and manage the weekly order of counter suppliesStay up to date with product knowledge, company information, launches and campaignsIdentify current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and provide feedback to the Area Sales ManagerMaintain DECIEM's visual merchandising standards according to the official merchandising guidelines (including displays, testers, cleanliness etc.)SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONELove of beauty products and a passion for skincareStrong time management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task a mustDemonstrated ability to work well under pressure, managing conflicting priorities and tight deadlines2 + years of people management or work in a leadership role is requiredRelevant education OR equivalent work experience in customer service/retail is an assetWHAT YOU'LL BE GAINING BY JOINING OUR TEAMThere's a lot of good stuff that comes along with being a DECIEM team member.
