The Opportunity
We're seeking an experienced
Senior Compliance Lead
on a
6 month fixed-term contract
to strengthen our compliance function and champion best practices across our Bank. Please note that this role isn't a leadership position.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance Program Development & Maintenance
- Support the Head of Compliance & Governance (HoCG) in the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of Police Bank's Compliance Program.
- Lead the upkeep and/or uplift of an effective Compliance framework across the organisation.
Regulatory & ASIC Obligations
- Review and ensure compliance with ASIC obligations relating to Design and Distribution Obligations (DDO), marketing and product reviews.
- Manage the regulatory reporting calendar and maintain current knowledge of all relevant legislation.
Reporting & Assurance
- Maintain effective reporting and assurance accountabilities within the Compliance Program.
- Prepare and support periodic Compliance reports to key stakeholders.
Regulatory Returns & External Dispute Resolution
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of all periodic regulatory returns, including AFSL, ACL, AUSTRAC and AFCA compliance certificates.
- Handle all External Dispute Resolution (EDR) matters and manage the relationship with AFCA.
About you
- Extensive compliance experience within financial services (banking preferred)
- Tertiary qualifications in law, business, finance, risk management or compliance
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks (APRA, ASIC, AML/CTF).
- Proven ability to interpret complex regulations and translate them into practical business processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- You enjoy partnering with teams across the business and shaping a positive compliance culture
- Comfortable with a fast-moving environment and managing priorities within a 6 month contract.
