With our continued growth, we are looking for a qualified and experienced Track Protection Officer (TPO) to join our Minor Works division to assist in delivering safe works on rail networks where we are engaged.

Roles are offered as LOCAL ONLY and can be full-time or casual basis, depending on your preference. Roster will be Monday to Friday, with ad-hoc up-track trip requirements.

Flights are from Perth only.

Key responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage safe working procedures within the Rio Tinto rail network
  • Provide on-track protection for the team and assets in accordance with rail safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with Train Control and site teams.
  • Maintain accurate records of protection arrangements and daily activities.
  • Work autonomously and collaboratively in a high-performance team environment.
  • Commitment to safety, attention to detail, and clear communication skills.

What will set you up for success:

  • Track Protection Officer – Fully Qualified.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Rio Tinto rail network and operational procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to pass and maintain a Category 1 Rail Medical.
  • A great attitude.
