Are you passionate about helping landholders manage their native vegetation so they can balance sustainable agricultural development with biodiversity conservation outcomes? If the answer is yes, you should apply to be a member of the Hunter Local Land Services Land Management team.
About The Role
In this role you will work with landholders to implement land management legislation and undertake the assessment of related applications, lead projects, advise on best practice and their responsibilities under the Land Management Framework.
We're looking for people to join the team – people who are passionate about rural land management and biodiversity conservation and are keen to make a difference by working with landholders to deliver land management outcomes
Applicants Must Demonstrate The Following Capabilities
- Understanding of the Local Land Services Act 2013, Land Management (Native Vegetation) Code 2018 and other Planning legislation and instruments
- Excellent communication skills to provide frontline advice on Land Management matters
- Ability to identify vegetation, plant communities and record accurate field data
- Ability to operate a 4WD vehicle, a willingness to travel and can perform outdoor work
- Attention to detail and ability to work with a range of digital systems
- Ability to work collaboratively, peer review cases, and support other team members to deliver Land Management outcomes.
Having a positive and solution-focused attitude, you'll be able to think creatively and solve complex problems for both yourself and others as they arise. You'll also be able to work autonomously with limited supervision and to get things done.
