About the Role:

Part-Time (24 hours/week) | Flexible Days (8:30 am – 4:30 pm) | Based in Cairns CBD

Reporting directly to the Company Director, you'll play a key role in supporting HR and compliance functions across the organisation. This position offers variety, autonomy, and the chance to grow your expertise in a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • HR Advisory: Provide accurate advice on HR, Fair Work, and Industrial Relations matters.
  • Contracts & Documentation: Draft and manage employment contracts and maintain employee records across multiple locations.
  • Policy & Compliance: Draft, review, and implement HR policies to ensure legal compliance.
  • Induction & Onboarding: Coordinate new staff inductions and maintain HR systems.
  • Employee Engagement: Support reward and recognition programs, employee assistance programs, and engagement initiatives.
  • Performance Management: Assist with probation reviews, performance documentation, and process improvements.
  • Exit Processes: Oversee termination processes, conduct exit surveys, and review feedback.
  • Project Support: Contribute to large organisational projects and initiatives.
  • Document Control: Ensure accurate record-keeping and document management.

About You:

We're seeking someone detail-oriented, highly organised, and passionate about creating an efficient and compliant workplace.

You'll Bring:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in HR, compliance, or administrative roles within the NDIS or disability services sector.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and Completion of the NDIS Orientation Module.
  • An astute eye for detail and excellent record-keeping abilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a professional attitude.
  • Ability to self-manage deadlines and prioritise tasks effectively.
