Morrison Accounting & Advisory is a rapidly growing Accounting and Business Advisory practice with offices in Bairnsdale, Lakes Entrance & Orbost. We are currently seeking an experienced accountant to join our dynamic team. Flexible working hours- Full time or part-time

Remote working available- Work from Bairnsdale, Lakes Entrance or Orbost office or work from home

Qualifications & experience

  • Qualified Accountant with at least 1 years of experience working in Australia.
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency required.
  • Proficient in using Xero, XPM, QBO and MS Office.
  • Experience in public practice is preferred.
  • Xero certified is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Prepare financial statements and income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and super funds.
  • Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS).
  • Perform end-to-end bookkeeping functions including employee payroll, PAYG withholding, superannuation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare business management reports.
  • Attend to clients and take instructions.
