About the Role:

Due to continuous growth of our business, we are looking for highly skilled Larder Chef ready for an immediate start. If you are competent in salad, pans and frying and ready to take your career to the next level, then this is the opportunity for you

You will be responsible for maintaining a high service standard while observing our company culture and values. All applicants will be trained and will report to the Head Chef.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Consistently prepare dishes to a high level of quality and presentation.
  • Understand and contribute to all facets of the kitchen, including hot, cold, larder and pastry (as required).
  • Liaise regularly with front-of-house staff to communicate availability of menu items.
  • Uphold a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen and storage areas.
  • Ensure stock is rotated and waste is minimized.
  • Monitoring the stock of cooking ingredients.
  • Ensuring their section of the kitchen adheres to safety and health regulations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or Manager-On-Duty.

What you will need:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • 2 or more years' experience working within the food industry as Larder cook/chef.
  • A minimum Certificate III Commercial Cookery Qualification or other relevant Diploma would be advantageous.
  • Food Handlers/Hygiene Certificate preferred.
  • Attention to detail and exemplary food presentation standards.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of the team.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Adaptable and able to work in high-volume work environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation, and nutrition.
  • Flexible availability over a 7-day rotating roster, including nights, weekends and public holidays.
