Trexo Patient Advocate

Trexo Robotics is enabling mobility by building powered wearable robots. Our first product is a robot for children with movement disorders such as Cerebral Palsy, and it allows kids to walk, in many cases, for the first time in their lives. The device is currently being used by hundreds of families and the best hospitals across North America.
We are constantly working towards building mobility solutions for all. At Trexo Robotics, you will find a flat organization where you can work with highly optimistic, low ego, and exceptionally talented individuals who look forward to solving hard problems.
About the jobTrexo is coming to Australia and we are looking for a passionate and proactive Patient Advocate to represent Trexo Robotics on the ground and support establishing our presence in the region. In this role, you will work closely with our Australian distributor to ensure an exceptional experience for families, clinicians, and partners who use or are exploring the Trexo devices for home or clinic settings.
You will act as a key local point of contact for both customers and partners: supporting sales activities, helping coordinate device demonstrations, assisting with customer communications, and contributing to marketing and community engagement efforts.
This is a remote role based in Australia and involves travel within the country to support events, demonstrations, and customer visits.
About youYou are an empathetic communicator who is motivated by helping families and children gain access to life-changing technology. You bring strong interpersonal and organizational skills, enjoy working collaboratively, and are comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. You are also creative and resourceful, able to support marketing and awareness activities that strengthen Trexo's brand locally.
What you'll do:-
Serve as Trexo's local representative, supporting the distributor with day-to-day coordination, customer inquiries, and logistics.
-
Attend and support customer trials, demonstrations, and community events.
-
Assist families through the evaluation and onboarding process in collaboration with the distributor and Trexo's team.
-
Build and support the establishment of coverage with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) for Trexo devices.
-
Gather feedback from customers and share insights with the broader team to improve our programs and support.
-
Help organize and support marketing events, product demos, and outreach initiatives.
-
Identify opportunities to raise awareness of Trexo within local hospitals, therapy centers, and advocacy groups.
-
Work closely with the distributor to align on priorities, share updates, and track progress.
-
Liaise with Trexo's marketing and operations teams to ensure smooth communication and consistent messaging.
-
Represent Trexo's values and mission in all customer and community interactions.
-
3+ years of experience in a customer-facing, healthcare, or community engagement role (experience in assistive technology, rehabilitation, or medical devices is an asset).
-
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
-
Comfortable using video conferencing tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet) for meetings, webinars, and remote collaboration.
-
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
-
Experience supporting events or marketing activities.
-
Self-starter comfortable working independently and collaboratively with international teams.
-
Willingness to travel within Australia.
-
Passion for helping children and families access mobility solutions.
Nice to have:
-
Experience as a Physiotherapist Assistant, or in the peadiatric or physical therapy space.
Please note that at this time, we can only consider applicants who are already eligible to work in Canada and we are unable to provide relocation support. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to receiving your application.
