About the role

We're offering a full-time position, available for immediate start, for a reliable and motivated CNC Operator. This role is ideal for someone with a hands-on approach and a willingness to learn and adapt.

You'll begin by operating and maintaining the CNC machine, with the opportunity to grow into programming and preparing projects for production. Full training will be provided to the right candidate.

Task and responsibilities

  • Load and unload decorative boards for CNC cutting
  • Operate CNC machine safely and efficiently
  • Unload finished products and label
  • Program jobs using PC-based Editor software (training provided)
  • Maintain tooling and replace worn cutters
  • Follow project plans with precision and attention to detail
  • Monitor and manage stock levels
  • Run panels through the edgebander
  • General labour and housekeeping duties
  • Assist the production floor team as required
  • Perform pickups/deliveries as needed

Skills and attributes required

  • Previous manufacturing or factory-floor experience preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to read plans and work to specification
  • Competent with hand and power tools
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Good computer skills
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Forklift Licence and current Driver's Licence are essential
  • Must have reliable transport
  • Own PPE (steel-capped boots required)
  • Own basic hand tools preferred
