ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a creative and passionate Junior School Visual Arts Teacherto join our Junior School for Semester 1 of 2026. As a Teacher, you will work collaboratively with your colleagues to deliver a vibrant curriculum to your students and possess a strong knowledge of content and pedagogy in these areas. You will be using teaching strategies that cater to the needs of a diverse student group.

  • Creation of a nurturing learning environment which is learner-centred, safe, supportive, co-operative and aligned with curriculum, policies and practices.
  • Effective planning, implementation and reviewing of learning programs.
  • Maintaining professional standards as defined by the  Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
  • Effective management of students in the classroom and wider school community.
  • Ensuring that the values and Anglican ethos of the School are upheld.

ABOUT YOU:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary study in Visual Arts and/or Primary Education.
  • Early Childhood Education – would be an advantage.
  • Experience in teaching Primary Art years P-6.
  • Demonstrated competence against the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers across professional knowledge, practice and engagement.
  • Strong understanding of the Australian Curriculum.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal skills and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to engage with colleagues, students, parents and carers to achieve the best outcomes for students.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the Christian faith and Anglican ethos of the School.
