About the role

●      Part time (38 hours/fortnight)

●      School term program hours: Mondays & Tuesdays 8–3:30

●      Alternate Wednesdays: non-contact with your Co-Director

● month contract (with potential for permanency)

As Early Childhood Teacher / Co-Director / Co-Nominated Supervisor, you will play a vital leadership role in shaping the future of Willmore Kindergarten.

Your responsibilities will include:

●      Leading the provision of high-quality, play-based programs guided by the EYLF and QKLG

●      Building strong, trusting relationships with children, families, staff, and the wider community

●      Fostering a cohesive, professional team culture that values reflection and growth

●      Encouraging meaningful parent participation in all aspects of our service

●      Overseeing effective, sustainable, and inclusive practices in daily operations

●      Supporting staff with training, mentoring, and performance development

●      Working with the Management Committee on budget planning and resource allocation

●      Ensuring compliance with WH&S and Early Learning relevant regulations

●      Driving continuous improvement through the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).

●      Managing enrolments, funding requirements, and reporting.

About You

We are looking for a leader who is not only skilled and qualified but also deeply passionate about early childhood education. Someone who sees children as capable, curious learners and who values relationships, community, and inclusion.

Our ideal candidate has:

●      Demonstrated understanding of early childhood pedagogy and curriculum frameworks including; QKLG, EYLF and National Quality Standards

●      A thorough understanding of, and firm commitment to, the ECA Code of Ethics, child protection laws and child safe practices

●      Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills

●      Ability to engage with diverse families in a respectful and inclusive manner

●      Demonstrated ability to work independently, show initiative and make decisions

●      A growth mindset, demonstrating innovation and flexibility

●      Proven leadership and management skills, including the ability and knowledge to act as Nominated Supervisor

●      Experience in financial management, administration, and effective resource allocation in an early childhood setting

Qualification and Certification requirements:

●      Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or equivalent, ACECQA approved)

●      Teacher registration with the Queensland College of Teachers (Approved Kindergarten Program Provider recognition)

●      Minimum 6–12 months management or leadership experience

●      Current Senior First Aid Certificate (including resuscitation, anaphylaxis, and asthma management)

●      Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)

●      Child protection training
