As we continue to expand, we're looking for a seasoned Fullstack Python Developer to take a senior hands-on role in development, shaping architecture, and building momentum developing our products to meet our strategic objectives.

The Role

As Senior Fullstack Python Developer, you will:

• Architect, develop and maintain core backend systems using Python, while also contributing to frontend components.
• Lead complex fullstack features end-to-end - from design, through development, testing, deployment and optimisation.
• Collaborate closely with product, UX/design and operations teams to define technical and product strategy.
• Introduce and own improvements in infrastructure, tooling, CI/CD, observability, and performance tuning.
• Take ownership for architecture decisions and longevity of our platform - balancing technical debt, scalability, performance and speed.
• Ensure robust testing, security, and maintainability across the stack.
• Be a senior voice in the team: influencing technical direction, advocating for high standards, and helping steer the development roadmap.
• As we grow, you may assist to mentor and guide other developers, elevating the team's capability, code quality, and best practices.

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on Python backend development.
• Proven experience in fullstack development (backend + frontend) in production environments.
• Comfortable designing, building and owning large scale systems with strong architecture skills.
• Sound knowledge of frontend technologies (e.g., React, Angular, Vue) and how frontend + backend interact; able to contribute across both.
• Hands-on experience with databases (relational and/or NoSQL), message brokers, APIs, microservices architecture, and DevOps/CI-CD pipelines.
• Excellent communication skills, you'll be able to engage cross-functional stakeholders, articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and mentor team members.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and elevate a development team: code reviews, mentoring, design discussions, enforcing quality.
• Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and bias for action. Thrives in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
• Experience working in agile development setups, continuous delivery environments, and readiness to adapt.
• Bonus: experience in hybrid or node-based architectures, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes), observability/monitoring stacks.
