After years of success in building hardware-led survillience tech, this Ozzie pioneer is now on a journay to building one of the first AI led Smart Site Awareness products in Australia. 

Having secured significant investment, the transition from hardware-centric to a software-led, products is going to allow this company to scale to significant global heights. You'll be joining at a foundational moment; owning the design and delivery of a brand-new customer-facing platform while embedding modern DevOps practices across the engineering lifecycle.

You'll thrive here if you

  • Have solid experience as a backend-leaning fullstack engineer, especially using Typescript, and cloud platforms (AWS)
  • Are strong in AWS cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, scripting, and infrastructure-as-code
  • Have exposure to DevOps or SRE practices, even if not in a dedicated role. You must be comfortable spinning up a Docker container from scratch
  • Are proactive, hands-on, and enjoy shaping systems from scratch in early-stage environments

What you'll do

  • Greenfield platform development in and Python
  • Building and owning CI/CD pipelines, AWS infra (CDK), and observability systems
  • Setting standards for how code is shipped, secured, and monitored
  • Collaborating with edge and device platform teams to integrate real-time data from camera systems and sensors
  • Laying infrastructure foundations for future data products - think LLM pipelines and data engineering, not just basic dashboards

The tech stack

  • Languages: TypeScript ), Python
  • Cloud: AWS (CDK), Terraform (some exposure to GCP/Azure/Bicep a bonus)
  • Infra & Tooling: CI/CD pipelines, API integrations, monitoring, alerting, DevSecOps practices
  • Frontend: React (for dashboarding and UX)

Nice to have (but not dealbreakers)

  • Experience with real-time systems or IoT products
  • Exposure to video streaming, device management, or security systems

You'll be joining the Core Infra and Device Platform team and your impact will be immediate and foundational. Expect high trust, big problems, and real ownership.
