The Opportunity
The Early Neurodevelopment and Mental Health team is focused on preventing childhood mental illness and optimising children's development and wellbeing in the first years of their life. We are interested in understanding and identifying the factors that contribute to difficulties in mental health and development, as well as developing cost-effective prevention and early intervention approaches for addressing developmental needs and promoting resilience.

In this role, your duties will include:
- Undertaking literature reviews to support projects.
- Assisting with data collection, data entry and data analysis of results and findings.
- Contributing to the translation of research outputs for non-scientific audiences.
- Supporting ethics and governance processes.
Based at our modern office within Perth Children's Hospital, this role will be offered on a casual basis.
About You
The successful candidate will hold a bachelor's degree in psychology, health sciences, exercise science, or other relevant areas of study. Along with this, you will possess the following skills and experience:
- Interest in physical activity, health behaviour change, and chronic disease research.
- An understanding of research tasks, projects and or/project coordination in a relevant discipline.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- A proactive and collaborative nature.

We also provide reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process and in the workplace, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
If you meet many, but not all, of the role requirements, we encourage you to apply. We also welcome you to mention any career breaks in your cover letter to help us understand your journey.

- Support staff-led inclusion and allyship groups.
- Offer flexible work practices that recognise different needs and life stages.
- Provide training, development and mentoring opportunities to increase inclusive leadership and create an environment where all staff can thrive.
- Partner with communities to strengthen cultural awareness and belonging.
- Ensure adjustments and accessible practices are available for diverse community groups.
- We continually strive to measure our progress and improve where we can.
Alongside our inclusive culture, you'll enjoy:
- Extra annual leave at Christmas and Easter.
