Job description:

We are looking for a motivated Quality and Safety Assurance Officer to join our team in Nowra, NSW, supporting the safe and compliant operation of our aviation and support systems. This role is a great opportunity for someone who is either starting out in quality and safety or looking to apply their existing skills in a balanced and flexible role.

You'll be involved in monitoring processes, assisting with audits, and helping to maintain compliance standards, with plenty of scope to learn, grow, and develop within the role.

We understand that flexibility matters, so we are open to different employment types, such as part-time, job share, or compressed hours. While the role is primarily onsite, some hybrid working may be possible.

What you'll do:

  • Conduct and report on internal and external audits
  • Support external audits (ISO 9001, AS9110, ISO and maintain accreditation readiness
  • Conduct investigations into incidents, hazards and near misses
  • Assess compliance across regulatory frameworks
  • Liaise with teams to progress actions from Safety, Risk, and Management Reviews
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and safety-first culture
  • Maintain robust and accurate quality and safety records
  • Collaborate across all levels of the business - from apprentices to engineers, pilots, and executives

What you'll bring:

  • Experience in Auditing in complex or safety critical environments
  • Hands-on auditing and quality assurance experience
  • An understanding of safety and compliance frameworks
  • Confidence communicating across all levels with professionalism and emotional intelligence
  • A practical, solutions-focused mindset with high attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret regulation and assess alignment with internal policy and process
