The Role

Our Ridge Street site services many customers in a contract manufacturing capacity focused on packaged, natural and processed cheeses. These include the renown Bega cheese blocks- mild, tasty, and vintage, shredded and cubed cheese, natural slices, parmesan, colby, mozzarella and burger slice cheeses and our Lactose free range.

We're looking for a proactive and people-focused Safety and Wellbeing Coordinator to lead and support wellbeing initiatives across our site. In this role, you'll provide expert guidance on injury prevention, incident management, and return-to-work processes. You'll help foster a safe, engaged, and compliant workplace culture while enhancing employee engagement through meaningful safety and wellbeing programs.

This is a hands-on role working closely with the site steering group and cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and positive outcomes. The position follows standard Monday to Friday office hours, with occasional flexibility to support shift coverage as needed.

Relocation support available for those looking to make the move to the stunning Bega Valley region.

Responsibilities

  • Lead site-specific wellbeing initiatives aligned with organisational goals around injury prevention
  • Investigate incidents and provide expert advice to reduce risk and ensure compliance
  • Develop and deliver wellbeing communications and training programs
  • Prepare and analyse wellbeing data to support informed decisions
  • Promote and enforce safe work practices in line with health, safety, and environment policies

About you

  • Experience in safety, wellbeing, injury management, return-to-work coordination
  • Knowledge of manufacturing or operational environments
  • Strong understanding of safety legislation and compliance requirements
  • Strong stakeholder relationship skills with ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders
  • Comfortable using digital tools and systems to manage safety and wellbeing processes
