Cook – Cranbourne West VIC

Kogan People Solutions, recruiters, are working with our client to secure a new Cook in a busy Indian cuisine focused restaurant in Cranbourne West. With a dedication for excellence and quality service, our client is now seeking a new Cook to join their happy and productive kitchen team.

  • Cuisine focus – Indian cuisine
  • Tenure – Full time and ongoing
  • Salary – negotiable in the range $75k to $85k plus superannuation per annum
  • Location – Cranbourne West VIC

Responsibilities of our Cook will include:

  • High standard meals preparation and quality control (checks of raw materials, temperature controls).
  • Ensure compliance of the HACCP system regarding food handling procedures.
  • Portion and plate foods in accord with company policy and procedures.
  • Hygienic food storage in refrigerators.
  • Training of kitchen staff and apprentices as required.

About you:

  • You have a passion for cooking – you want to produce the finest.
  • You have a well organised working style – able to cheerfully meet demanding work requirements.
  • You can work independently, and as part of a team, and have an excellent communication style.
  • You have a passion for the hospitality industry and are up to date on techniques and food trends.
  • You have an unwavering commitment to flavour and presentation of the highest quality.

To be successfully considered for the role you:

  • Possess relevant Certificate IV or agreed substitute.
  • Have at least 1 or more, years of relevant work experience since earning your qualifications.
  • Are available across the working week, including weekends.
  • Offer proven ability to prioritise, set goals and have the determination to achieve them.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of food safety and HACCP.
  • Have experience working in a similar cuisine and professional environment.

You must have unrestricted full time Australian working rights to be considered.
