About the role

KIDZ R KIDZ EARLY LEARNING CENTRE is seeking an experienced and passionate Chef - School Hours to join their team in Cranbourne North, VIC. This part-time role is perfect for someone looking to balance their work and personal life, with school hours Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 2:30 pm

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare and cook healthy, nutritious meals for the children attending the early learning centre licensed for 47 children.
  • Ensure all meals meet relevant dietary requirements and follow the centre's menu
  • Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen environment
  • Assist with menu planning and food ordering as required
  • Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations

What we're looking for

  • Formal culinary qualification or equivalent experience as a chef
  • Experience working in a commercial kitchen, ideally within the early childhood education sector
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work on their own on the kitchen.
  • Passion for providing high-quality, nutritious meals for children
