Mackay, Queensland, Australia OneLife NQ Full time $45,000 - $60,000 per year

OneLife NQ is a disability support company in Mackay and Bowen and are looking for the next person to join our rostering team based in Mackay.

This role is initially casual for a minimum 30hrs/wk. Part time opportunities may exist for the right candidate.

The Rostering Officer will oversee the responsibilities of ensuring

a appropriate OneLife NQ Support staff with relevant skills, ability and availability are matched with Participants

b)      that those staff are rostered accurately within specified days and times as dictated by the participant via liaison with the Client Coordinators/Management

c staff are rostered effectively following the Fair Work and SCHADS award guidelines

d) all data in the rostering system (VisualCare) for both rostering and staff timesheets are accurate and up to date and that all changes are actioned daily

The ideal candidate has the qualities below

  • You must be reliable, flexible and willing to learn.
  • Has the ability to learn quickly. Rostering is fast paced and forever changing.
  • Previous experience using Visual Care and Xero, an advantage but not essential.
  • Likes puzzles and able to problem solve.
  • Exceptional time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to work within a team and independently
  • Experience in the community/disability sector is a bonus but not essential.
  • Experience in rostering 100+ employees across multiple sites
  • Ability to undertake extensive training within the first few weeks of employment.
  • Flexibility in regards to days worked

Preferrable qualifications and knowledge

  • tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Management, Disability, Community services or related field and/or experience
  • Sound knowledge of the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award and employment conditions
  • Must hold or be willing to obtain and NDIS worker screening check (yellow card) and Working with children check (blue card)
  • Must complete the NDIS Quality Safety and You certificate.
