Exmouth Freight and Logistics is seeking an experienced intermediate rigger and dogman.

Position Overview

The Dogman / Rigger is responsible for safely slinging and directing loads for crane operations, ensuring lifting activities are conducted in accordance with workplace safety standards and site procedures. The role requires close coordination with crane operators and site personnel to ensure all lifts are carried out safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely sling and direct loads during crane operations.
  • Select and inspect lifting gear to ensure it is fit for purpose and compliant with regulations.
  • Communicate clearly with crane operators using standard hand and radio signals.
  • Assist in the setup and dismantling of cranes and rigging equipment.
  • Interpret lift plans and ensure all lifting operations are carried out according to instructions.
  • Maintain awareness of site hazards and ensure lifting zones are clear of personnel and obstructions.
  • Conduct pre-start checks and inspections of lifting and rigging equipment.
  • Comply with all company policies, safety procedures, and legislative requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • High Risk Work Licence – DG (Dogging) (mandatory).
  • High Risk Work Licence – RI / (Rigging) (preferred, depending on role scope).
  • Construction White Card.
  • Proven experience in dogging and rigging operations.
  • Ability to read and understand lift plans and site safety documentation.
  • Current driver's MR Drivers license

Accommodation is not provided, employee is required to have own accommodation.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $33.53 – $63.73 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 38 per week
