The Butchers Diner is seeking a talented and experienced Full-Time and Casual Chefs / Cooks to join our dynamic team to assist in running the kitchen and events kitchen.

About Butchers Diner:

Butchers Diner is a midday to late-night diner and events space located in the heart of Melbourne CBD since 2017. It prides itself on offering a unique dining experience to both locals and visitors. Red and grey tile floors and a long, curving orange bench are a play on the American Diner.  Upstairs is a rustic, slightly regal second-level dining room and event space.  Butchers Diner's offerings include a range of delicious menu items from steak & eggs, burgers, Japanese Fried Chicken, and daily specials…...Club sandwiches, falafel salads, buttermilk chicken and the list go on.  Upstairs in our events space we can cater for long table lunches/dinners or cocktails and canapes.

We are looking for a chef that brings experience and common sense to the role as well as a positive "can do" attitude.

Essentials Requirements:

· An honest care for the product and the style of menu (at butchers)

· Ability to work within our structured environment and team

· Minimum 2 years' experience

· Punctual

· Can offer a minimum 1-year commitment to the role

· Confident in cooking ability shown through technique, working organised and clean.

· Able to travel home safely when working a 1am close shift

Desirables Requirements

· Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire the kitchen team.

· Strong knowledge of ingredients / butchery

· year's experience

· Flexible/full availability, Lunch and Dinner

· Living in or within 5km of CBD

· Contributions to dish creation
