Classic Way Family Practice is currently seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Practice manager to join our well-established and respected team in a central location.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and reliable individual to oversee the day-to-day operations of our family medical practice. This is a part-time role (3 days per week) with potential for increased hours in the future.

As the Practice Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the GPs and reception team, ensuring smooth administrative and operational workflows while maintaining a high level of patient care and service.

This role provides a opportunity to help shape the practice's continued success and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the practice, ensuring efficient and smooth workflows
  • Staff management including rostering, training, and team support
  • Handling patient and staff queries with professionalism and empathy
  • Medicare billing oversight and ensuring compliance with current regulations
  • Management of accounts, payroll coordination, and liaison with bookkeepers/accountants
  • Stock ordering and supplier liaison
  • Ensuring accreditation standards and policy updates are maintained
  • Implementing and managing Best Practice Software processes and updates
  • General administrative duties including working at reception and support to the clinical team
About You

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Experience with Best Practice software (essential)
  • A background as a Senior Medical Receptionist in a GP clinic, or current experience as a Practice Manager
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent time management, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities
  • A proactive and professional attitude
  • Knowledge of Medicare billing processes and general practice compliance standards
  • Familiarity with Hotdoc, Cubiko, and digital health initiatives is desirable
