*The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Dietitian Assistant to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Support dietitians in delivering quality, evidence-based patient care
Implement and monitor nutritional care for patients requiring support, special diets, or mid meals, as delegated by dietitians
Conduct nutrition screening, implement care plans, and monitor at-risk patients in line with guidelines and dietitian direction
Provide education on specific nutrition topics to patients, staff, or stakeholders under dietitian or line manager supervision
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
Whilst not mandatory a Certificate III Nutrition, Certificate IV (Allied Health Assistance) or education in nutrition would be well regarded
Whilst not mandatory, experience working within a hospital Nutrition and Food Service department highly desirable
A Working with Children check (GCH will cover cost)
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Base salary ranging from $ $36.30 per hour
