The Position

Love closing deals and building new client relationships?

Join a leading name in the board games and puzzles industry, supplying major retailers and independents across Australia. We're on a mission to grow our reach and that's where you come in.

We're looking for a sales pro who thrives on growing business, and we'll teach you the product side along the way.

This role blends new business development with account management. You'll proactively target new retailers, build strong relationships, and unlock fresh opportunities, while also nurturing existing accounts so they continue to grow. You don't need board game knowledge, just proven sales skills, initiative, and the drive to win.

We are seeking an extroverted individual who has the gift of the gab, they are able to speak clearly and confidently and have an excellent attitude.

Experience with inventory management, wholesale sales, and CRM software is a must, and a passion for board games, puzzles and toys would be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attracting new customers through frequent market research, telephone contact, industry forums, advertising campaigns, and organising promotional material.
  • Manage and grow our existing customer base, providing prompt, professional support.
  • Building strong relationships with buyers and store owners.
  • Create marketing material to distribute to our growing customer base.
  • Keep informed of industry developments.
  • Maintain a strong technical understanding of the products.
  • Exhibit at industry trade shows.
  • Working with our cloud based inventory management system and CRM.
  • Liaising with internal departments to execute sales strategies.
  • Ad hoc tasks as required.

Key Criteria

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a sales role.
  • Strong track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • A passion for games, puzzles and toys preferred.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets)
  • Demonstrated decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Experience or sound knowledge of the board game or toy industry would be considered favourably.
  • Self motivated & results driven.
  • Driver's licence.
  • Permanent residency/right to work in Australia essential.
