About the role

Provide and supervise clinical care to babies in the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, under the care of the Department of Neonatology

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

To be the designated primary responsible Neonatologist for the care of an identified group of babies within the neonatal unit and in the post-natal wards.
To teach in the Medical Course within the University of Queensland, as required by the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health. A University appointment within the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health at appropriate level according to the successful applicant's experience and publishing record will be available on application to the University.
Staff Specialists may be required to assist the Director of Neonatology and the Director of Medical Services in administrative matters relating to the conduct of the hospital's business, by being members of hospital committees, and of committees within the University of Queensland and Queensland Department of Health.
