Overview

Staff Specialist or Senior Staff Specialist (Geriatric Medicine) role at Metro South Health – Logan Hospital. Lead geriatric medicine and rehabilitation initiatives, deliver expert care for older adults, mentor junior doctors, and drive service innovation.

What You Will Do
  • Provide specialist geriatric medicine care for acute and sub-acute inpatients and outpatients.
  • Supervise, mentor, and educate junior medical staff and registrars.
  • Actively participate in quality, audit, research, and patient safety initiatives.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient-centred care.
About You
  • Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (or equivalent).
  • Current registration as a medical specialist in Geriatric Medicine with AHPRA.
  • Demonstrated expertise in clinical service delivery, leadership, and supervision.
  • Strong commitment to research, education, and service improvement.
