The Role

The primary purpose of the Construction Engineer is to oversee civil residential construction projects, ensuring all works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in line with relevant standards and client expectations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the administration of contracts, including assessment of claims and processing payment certificates.
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, relevant authorities, management and design teams to communicate requirements and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Issuing notifications to Water Authorities and Contractors to support the commencement and progress of work.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, testing and monitoring to ensure quality and compliance
  • Attend site meetings, prepare agendas and document minutes accurately
  • Monitor Occupational Health and Safety standards on site
  • Maintaining required professional accreditation, licences and permits.
  • Consistently demonstrate and promote Breese Pitt Dixon's values and professional behaviours

Skills and Qualifications

If you have the following criteria, we would love to hear from you

  • Relevant industry experience as a Construction Engineer or similar
  • Land Development experience is desirable
  • Current construction auditing accreditations with Melbourne Retail Water Agencies is desirable
  • Sound knowledge of Victorian regulations and standards
  • Current Driver's License
  • Strong attention to detail with pride in delivering high quality work
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines
  • Proactive, enthusiastic and a positive contributor to a team environment
  • Demonstrated initiative, with a focus on continuous improvement
