Play a pivotal role in shaping vital community infrastructure through diverse, high-impact projects that offer autonomy, innovation, and meaningful collaboration.
- Deliver high-impact infrastructure projects including roads, footpaths, bridges and culverts, from planning through to construction and completion.
- Provide expert engineering advice and lead investigations, while collaborating across Council and with external stakeholders.
- Manage budgets, contracts and tender processes with precision, bringing innovation, drive and strong communication to every project.

About the Role
The Infrastructure Delivery Engineer will be responsible for a number of maintenance and Capital Works functions including the planning and delivery of Council's road and footpath programs, development of contracts and management and assessment of the tender processes, road resurfacing works, footpath construction and renewal works, maintenance and construction of Council's bridge and major culvert network, engineering investigations and provision of expert engineering advice.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, proactive, driven and innovative, and engage in effective interaction and networking for the provision of engineering advice at various levels within Council and external to Council. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of projects, be able to adapt skills to address project specific needs and have sound technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, well-developed budget management skills, solid time management and organisational skills.
Skills and Experience
- Tertiary qualified in civil engineering or other relevant field.
- An experienced professional with specialist skills, knowledge and sound experience in the provision of high-quality engineering services relevant to project management, maintenance and engineering.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill technical information into clear, actionable reports
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate
- A strong collaborator who adds value to the organisation with proven ability to maintain relationships with other stakeholders.
- A proactive professional who is able to manage a dynamic workload and establish own work priorities and practices.
