We are proud to have attracted some of the best talent in the industry and we are continuously seeking individuals who share our passion for industrial and commercial construction, thrive on challenges, excel in a high-performance team, and understand the value of mentoring and developing fellow team members for their growth and success.
With our continued growth and expanding project pipeline, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a detail-orientated and driven Design Coordinator to join our design team.

The opportunity on offer
In your role as Design Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to directly impact the quality and efficiency of our design and construction processes. By working closely with the Design Manager, you'll support critical stages of the design, ensuring every project aligns with our standards of excellence in quality, safety, and environmental responsibility.
Reporting into the Design Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
· Develop and maintain a strong understanding of safety, environmental laws, regulations, and statutory obligations, ensuring all design activities are compliant with legal requirements and Texco's Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality (EHSQ) standards;
· Assist in the preparation and distribution of project handover agendas and documentation, ensuring a smooth transition from design to project management;
· Contribute to design development and consultant management;
· Assist the Design Manager in appointing consultants, ensuring their alignment with project goals, timelines, and expectations;
· Review proposed designs for commercial implications, technical feasibility, and compliance with project briefs;
· Assist in preparing and reviewing detailed design documentation for each discipline, ensuring it meets project requirements and is suitable for contracts and procurement;
· Collaborate with the Design Manager to develop and maintain a detailed design program, providing documentation to the project team to support the timely achievement of project milestones and deadlines;
· Ensure risk-related outcomes are communicated effectively to consultants; and,
· Work with the Business Development Manager to review preliminary design during the tendering phase, providing input on design elements that could impact commercial viability and project outcomes.
A bit about you
You will bring a strong understanding of the design process and be motivated to grow your career as part of a high-performing design team. You'll be someone with a collaborative mindset, able to work with your Design Manager, project teams, and other departments with confidence.
To be successful, you will also demonstrate:
· A tertiary qualification in architecture, engineering or construction management;
· Minimum 1-2 years of experience in design coordination, project coordination, or similar role within the construction or design industry;
· A comprehensive understanding of the design process;
· A sound understanding of construction industry regulations, safety standards and environmental compliance;
· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders, and;
· Adaptability and a willingness to learn and grow within the role.
