We are seeking highly reliable, mature, and professional Male Psychosocial Support Worker to join our team. This specific role requires a male applicant to meet the unique support and privacy requirements of our participant's care plan.

If you have a strong background in mental health, expertise in trauma-informed care, and exceptional communication skills, we want to hear from you

What You Will Be Doing

  • Providing empathetic and consistent psychosocial support based on trauma-informed principles.
  • Assisting the participant in achieving their personal NDIS goals.
  • Supporting daily living tasks and facilitating access to community resources and activities.
  • Maintaining strict professional boundaries and fostering a supportive, non-judgmental environment.
  • Engaging in accurate and timely written reporting, and utilizing excellent verbal skills for complex communication and de-escalation.

Essential Requirements

  • Gender: Must be Male (essential requirement based on participant needs).
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years paid experience in psychosocial support and/or mental health.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication in English is non-negotiable for rapport and accurate reporting.
  • Attributes: Proven maturity, reliability, and professionalism.
  • Location: Ability to reliably commute to the Forest Hill, Blackburn and surounding areas.

Mandatory Checks and Documentation

You must hold the following current documentation:

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • First Aid/CPR Certificate
  • Valid Driver's License

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $35.00 to $45.00 per hour
  • Benefits: ongoing professional development, flexible scheduling, supportive team environment
