We are seeking an Assistant Electrical Estimator / Project Manager to join our team. This position is designed for an electrician looking to take the next step off the tools and into an office-based management role. You'll work closely with the Director and small management team to support tendering, estimating, and project delivery across a diverse range of projects.

This role offers the chance to develop strong estimating and project management skills while still staying connected to the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparing quotes, tenders, and cost estimates for commercial and industrial projects
  • Review drawings, specifications, and take-offs using software tools (Simpro, Groundplan)
  • Support project planning, procurement, and scheduling
  • Liaise with builders, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain pricing and manage project requirements
  • Track project costs, variations, and progress reporting
  • Provide administrative and project support to the management team
  • Help ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high standard

What We're Looking For

  • Licensed electrician (A-Grade or equivalent) with experience in commercial/industrial projects
  • Strong interest in moving away from on-site work and into management, estimating, and office-based responsibilities
  • Attention to detail and good with numbers
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Simpro/Groundplan highly regarded (training provided)
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and eager to grow with the business
