**About the Role**:
We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Designer / Engineer with a focus on customer service to join our Design and Customer projects team.

The Technical Design Officer is responsible for the provision of design, estimating and management of overhead and underground distribution, sub-transmission and optic fibre design projects for the internal and external Powercor Network Services clients. This involves aspects of mechanical, civil and electrical design and is suitable for anyone with a post-secondary qualification or industry experience.

This position is also responsible for minor survey works, asset detailing and for the implementation of appropriate policies and procedures regarding distribution and sub-transmission assets.

**What you’ll deliver**:

- Provide technical and design services for overhead and underground distribution and sub-transmission system projects, as well as substation and station design projects
- Provide effective design and advice in relation to the electrical distribution and sub transmission assets
- Prepare detailed construction plans for distribution and sub-transmission design projects
- Provide project support during construction and commissioning

**To succeed in this role you’ll have**:

- Diploma of ESI - Power systems / Associate Degree Electrical Engineering or equivalent tertiary based qualification highly desirable
- Previous design experience in the electrical distribution or sub transmission industry preferable
- Knowledge and experience in distribution, sub transmission and station design principles and procedures
