YOUR ROLE
The Fleet Allocator in our Finished Vehicle Logistics at Pinkenba QLD is responsible for the day to day planning of deliveries on the local and regional PUD fleet within the scope of responsibility (usually state-based), ensuring effective utilisation of both CEVA sub-contractors and contract carriers, against customer and statutory requirements.
The span of ordinary hours in this role will be Mon-Fri, 8 am - 4 pm.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Specifically, you will:
Plan and manifest the timely and efficient delivery of freight to ensure DIFOT and cost management targets are achievedBook additional ad-hoc transport as requiredEnsure the dispatching depot is provided manifests and appropriate paperworkLiaise with depot supervisors and team leaders to ensure timely loading of PUD vehiclesEnsure all incidents, hazards and non-compliances are reported and corrective actions implemented in a timely mannerInvestigate and resolve service and/or operational issues in a timely mannerEnsure runs are compliant with all statutory and company requirements, including but not limited to driver fatigue and load restraintEnsure critical processes are completed in our Transport Management System within required timeframes.WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Our ideal candidate has experience in a fleet planning, allocation or coordination role or similar within the transport sector:
Basic to intermediate skills in MS Office applications, and capable of learning new systems and working with technologies generallyGood written and verbal communication, time management and customer service skillsAbility to troubleshoot and diagnose problems, know when to seek advice, suggest solutions or escalate as required.In addition to providing proof of work rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undergo a medical assessment and national police check.
