About the Role:

Do you have a passion for empowering students to succeed in their learning journey? Are you committed to helping learners build the literacy and/or numeracy skills they need to thrive in their chosen field?

We're seeking Casual Teachers – Literacy and Numeracy (LN) Support to work directly with students, providing in-class assistance with the LN components of their vocational courses. This role supports students in real-time as they engage with course content that includes LN units.

What You'll Do:

As an LN Support Teacher, you will:

  • Provide tailored Literacy and Numeracy support to students across a variety of courses and skill sets.
  • Work in-class alongside students, helping them build the essential LN skills they need to succeed in their studies.
  • Collaborate closely with course teaching staff to align support strategies and foster student achievement.
  • Adapt your approach to suit diverse student cohorts, ensuring an inclusive, respectful, and engaging learning experience.

About You:

  • An AQF Level 7 qualification with specialisations in Literacy and/or Numeracy.
  • A current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent).
  • Experience in supporting learners with Literacy and Numeracy.
  • Experience in creating and adapting learner resources to meet curriculum and learner requirements.

Salary:

Casual Teacher L1 | $86.15 (teaching) and $58.56 (non-teaching) per hour | AQF4 teaching qualification

Casual Teacher L2 | $89.54 (teaching) and $60.86 (non-teaching) per hour | AQF5 teaching qualification

Casual Teacher L3 | $93.08 (teaching) and $63.23 (non-teaching) per hour | AQF6+ teaching qualification

Superannuation is paid at the current superannuation guarantee rate.
