- Collaborate with classroom teachers to support the use of data to choose differentiation and intervention strategies for targeted instruction.
- Recommend intervention strategies to target deficits in both literacy and numeracy for identified students.
- Support classroom teachers to make reasonable adjustments to class work and/or assessment tasks where necessary.
- Develop Individual Curriculum Plans (ICPs) in consultation with classroom teachers and parents, when a different curriculum year level is required for selected students.
- Develop Personalised Learning Plans (PLPs) in consultation with classroom teachers, students and parents, for students for students on case management load and/or identified under the NCCD.
- Case manage a selection of students in the junior and senior secondary year levels.
- Administer diagnostic assessment to determine appropriate and targeted interventions for identified students.
- Use a data informed approach to targeting academic interventions in both Junior and Senior Secondary year levels.
- Facilitate targeted Level 2 and Level 3 literacy and numeracy intervention programs inclusive of the QCAA short courses in the Senior Secondary role and possibly FSK20119 in the Senior Secondary role.
- Train and monitor CSOs as required to facilitate targeted Level 2 and Level 3 literacy and numeracy intervention programs.
- Maintain data for targeted intervention programs to monitor student performance and improvement. Communicate this data as required.
- Have a fractional teaching load.
