Key Responsibilities

  • Provide client-centred therapy focused on skill development and/or accommodations by designing and implementing therapies to enhance daily living, behavioural, psychosocial well-being, and cognitive skills. This may include teaching practical skills, promoting emotional regulation and resilience, supporting cognitive growth, and engaging clients in meaningful activities.
  • Apply motivational interviewing techniques to help clients achieve their desired goals.
  • Develop and implement meaningful, innovative therapy plans in collaboration with participants, families, support networks, and stakeholders.
  • Provide evidence-based, high-quality therapy and reporting to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Advocate effectively for clients through detailed reports, including functional capacity assessments, equipment prescriptions, housing assessments, and plan reviews.

What we are looking for—ABOUT YOU

  • Compassionate and Skilled Professional: A good human and an exceptional occupational therapist with a warm, empathetic nature and a genuine passion for supporting people.
  • Client-Centred Care: Committed to placing clients at the heart of all tasks, delivering tailored, ongoing therapy through face-to-face, telehealth, or video conference consultations.
  • Strong Ethical Foundations: Known for high moral values, integrity, and trustworthiness, fostering strong and lasting client and team relationships.
  • Expertise Across Diverse Caseloads: Proven experience managing fast-paced and varied caseloads, including NDIS, aged care, early intervention, private practice, DVA, and Medicare clients.
  • Holistic Experience: Skilled in supporting individuals of all ages—adults, teenagers, and children—with developmental disorders, intellectual disabilities, neurodivergence, physical conditions, and neurological challenges.

  • Organised and Efficient: Effective time management skills to balance competing priorities.
  • Commitment to Development: At least two years of experience is ideal, with a willingness to pursue professional development, particularly in working with children, teens, and families.
  • Professional Qualifications: Holds a bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Occupational Therapy, with current AHPRA registration.

What we can offer you

  • You will join an amazingly supportive team with loyal colleagues who cheer you on and lift you up.
  • An Occupational Therapy and Dietitian team who will always professionally and clinically support you.

  • A caseload of clients waiting for your support.
  • Flexible working hours.

  • Utilise and modify the children's therapy room at our head office in Bli Bli, QLD.
  • Monthly team CPD events.
  • Ability to vary your role to find a balance across different interest areas.
