About the role
Hancock Iron Ore is seeking a
Trainer Assessor – Electrical
to join our team at the Roy Hill mine. Reporting to the Supervisor Training, you will be responsible for assessing training needs, developing and delivering targeted training programs, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. Working collaboratively with operational teams, you will drive continuous improvement by executing training programs that upskill our people and ensure ongoing competence across the site.

Duties:
- Delivery of existing training modules to maintainers and operators of all process plant electrical equipment including Siemens, VSD's, protection relays and HV Switchgear
- Upskill electricians with fault finding, calibrating instrumentation, commissioning of equipment
- Provide knowledge and understanding in control systems PLC's with the ability to be able to adapt to site base software and databases
- Contribute to the development of training documentation, safe work procedures, standard operating procedures, guidelines and manuals
- Drive continuous improvements and identify areas that team members require additional support
- Monitor, update and maintain training needs analysis and records for employee's recording in learning management systems
- Ensure compliance to safety initiatives, policies and procedures in accordance with Health & Safety legislation
Skills and Experience
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or working towards
- A Grade Electrical License and Electrical trade qualifications
- Proven experience delivering training programs and conducting assessments
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan, prioritise, and manage multiple deadlines effectively
- Confident in using learning management systems to support training delivery and competency management
- Open "C" Class Manual Licence or above
- Certificate III/IV Instrumentation, High Risk Works desirable
