Being traditionally owned and operated First Nations business, iContracting Group provides genuine career opportunities for all Australians. *About The OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Site Based Trainer/Assessor to join our team. This role focuses on delivering high-quality training across civil construction machinery to support both road maintenance and mining resource definition teams. This is a hands-on position, ideal for a trainer who excels in coordinating training, managing compliance, and maintaining the Training matrix in a dynamic site environment.

Key Responsibilities*

  • Conduct training and assessment of operator skillsets, contractors, and technical teams across multiple work fronts
  • Ensure training is delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with project specifications and quality standards
  • Implement and monitor daily and weekly training schedules
  • Manage and report on training resources, allocation, and progress
  • Actively participate in pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, and safety inspections
  • Liaise with clients, supervisors, and key project stakeholders
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture in line with HSE requirements

*Skills & Experience*

  • Proven experience in a similar training/assessor role within civil, mining, or infrastructure projects
  • Strong background in earthworks – essential
  • Experience supporting exploration or resource definition teams – highly regarded
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing diverse site teams and subcontractors
  • Solid understanding of WHS legislation and risk management processes
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Proficiency in site reporting and basic computer systems (e.g, MS Office, project reporting tools)

About You

  • Relevant trade, civil, or mining qualification, or extensive field experience
  • TAE Qualification - mandatory
  • Current manual driver's licence, HR minimum; HC advantageous
  • White Card, Construction Induction
  • First Aid & CPR preferred
  • Relevant plant or machinery tickets and operating experience – Grader, Excavator, Dozer, Loader
