Client DetailsDescriptionKey Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the coordination and preparation of Council meetings, including agendas, minutes, and supporting documentation.
  • Provide advice and support on governance and legislative matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Maintain and manage records related to governance, including policies, procedures, and council documents.
  • Support the preparation of reports and presentations for Council, management, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of governance frameworks and policies.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and compliance with governance standards.
  • Assist with the review and implementation of governance-related strategies, including risk management and internal controls.
ProfileKey Requirements:
  • Experience with the Local Government Act, regulations, and Council meeting processes (essential)
  • Certificate IV in Administration (essential)
  • Current National Police Clearance (essential)
  • Strong research, analysis, and report writing skills, including minutes and agendas
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to develop and review policies and procedures
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills
  • Strong customer service focus and ability to work independently or in a team
