About the Role
Due to a parental leave arrangement, an exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Governance and Risk Officer.
This role drives proactive risk management, supports local government reforms, and ensures compliance with governance standards to enable informed decision-making and align organisational activities with the City's strategic objectives.
The position fosters a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration, embedding effective governance and risk management practices into all levels of the organisation.
What are we looking for?
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Possession of a relevant tertiary qualification in governance, risk management, or a related field is highly desirable, or demonstrated equivalent experience.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Highly developed research, analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify and address emerging governance and risk issues.
- Sound interpersonal, negotiation and decision-making
