About Cuthberts Boutique accounting and advisory firm seeking an experienced Accountant ready to own client relationships. You'll own your portfolio, becoming the go-to advisor for financial clarity while delivering practical, forward-looking guidance to privately owned and family-run businesses.

Founded by a practitioner who's built and sold a successful firm, we're growing again. This isn't a back-office role, you'll manage your own portfolio and provide forward-looking advice to privately owned and family-run businesses. Open to part-time days, salary pro-rated).

What you'll do

  • Own and nurture your client portfolio, building trust and becoming their go-to for financial clarity
  • Prepare and review financial statements, tax returns, and BAS for SMEs
  • Manage your own client portfolio with full ownership
  • Handle ATO matters and complex compliance issues
  • Deliver budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow planning using cloud tools
  • Provide advisory support on operations, pricing, succession, and growth
  • Shape internal processes as we scale

What you bring

  • Minimum 5+ years in public practice with SME and family business experience
  • Strong technical skills across all entity structures (companies, trusts, partnerships, individuals)
  • Proven client management and ATO liaison experience
  • Corporate structuring and entity setup expertise
  • Budget and cashflow forecasting capabilities
  • Commercial mindset: you discuss strategy, not just compliance
