The Opportunity

The Insurance Officer will primarily be responsible for administering, coordinating, and managing La Trobe Financial's insurance portfolio. This role ensures that adequate insurance coverage is in place, claims are managed effectively, and compliance obligations are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate placement, renewal, and the maintenance of all insurance policies.
  • Monitor claim outcomes and escalate disputes or complex cases as required.
  • Maintain a register and provide regular reporting.
  • Function as the first point of contact for internal and external customers.
  • Manage insurance inbox in a timely manner ensuring certificates of currency are processed and input in the system in a timely manner.
  • Email requests are allocated and responded to within SLA.
  • Review expired policies and ensure customers are updated on system.
  • Review and action Insurance reporting.
  • Other duties as instructed by operations manager and or executive.

About You

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Knowledge of the General Insurance Code of Practise and understanding insurance products desirable.
  • High data entry and experience in accurately processing data.
  • Time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
