About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Officer to join our busy Main Reception Team As a key member of the team, you'll play a crucial role in providing clerical support and performing day-to-day administrative duties. This includes reception, handling patient and relative inquiries, records management, data collection and entry, and offering secretarial support, all while ensuring strict confidentiality at all times. You will be a key part of the smooth-running of the Emergency Department, with a focus on customer service and a friendly, welcoming manner.

Shift Details: This role requires flexibility, with shifts covering 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including public holidays.

Key Responsibilities

Register patients with accuracy and attention to detail

    Document and store patient information in line with the Medical Records Act- .
    Liaise effectively with hospital departments and external medical providers- .
    Prepare medical records and necessary forms for each patient's episode of care- .
    Operate the switchboard and handle calls efficiently- .

Qualification, Skills & Experience

Certificate III in Business Administration or relevant experience specially in the healthcare sector

    Proven ability to work under pressure- .
    Strong attention to detail, especially in maintaining accurate, confidential records- .
    Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and iPM- .
    Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a team- .
