Overview

As a Senior Payments Officer, you will be a trusted support to the Payments Team, ensuring the integrity and timeliness of all payments. You will drive continuous process improvements, contribute to the effective management of the Return-to-Work process for injured workers, and uphold Gallagher Bassett's values.
How You'll Make An Impact
On a day to day basis you will:
- Provide a professional and customer-focused payments service for all internal and external stakeholders, addressing payment and general enquiries and overseeing daily payment processing.
- Act as the first point of escalation for complex queries or issues raised by team members or stakeholders.
- Support the Team Manager in workflow allocation to meet KPIs and deadlines, and assist in onboarding new staff, preparing rosters and reports to support operational needs.
- Maintain high data integrity and compliance standards within internal processes and payment systems.
- Identify process gaps and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency.
About You
We are interested in hearing from people who have:
- Proven administration experience with strong organisational skills and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated data entry experience with a high level of accuracy, ideal typing speed of 50-80 WPM with 97% accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Experience in a customer service environment with a strong service focus.
- Certificate in Business Administration or similar qualification desirable
