About the role

East Coast Apprenticeships is creating a new leadership role for a people-oriented, outcomes-driven HR Manager. This is a rare opportunity to help shape the future of HR at a well-established Group Training Organisation.

As HR Manager, you'll partner with executive and senior leaders, support a workforce across multiple sites, and lead a small but impactful WHS team. You'll drive people strategy, uplift compliance and capability, and help embed a culture of accountability, wellbeing, and performance.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee HR policy, systems, performance and people practices

  • Provide strategic advice on IR, compliance, workforce planning and engagement

  • Coach leaders and build capability across the organisation

  • Lead and support WHS strategy, return-to-work, and wellbeing initiatives

  • Use data to drive improvement and provide reporting to the executive

What we're looking for

  • Extensive generalist HR experience (5 years)

  • Ideally with an understanding of the VET sector

  • Strong industrial knowledge and confidence advising senior leaders

  • Experience managing WHS initiatives or teams

  • Excellent communication, coaching and influencing skills

  • Tertiary qualifications in HR, Employment Relations, or related field.
