About the Role We are partnering with our client to recruit an exceptional and experienced Transition Project Manager, who is an expert in all things HCM, Payroll, and ERP integrations. This role will be pivotal in managing a complex ERP transition program, ensuring seamless cutover, business readiness, and the successful transition to support. This is a Brisbane based role.

You will lead cross-functional teams, coordinate stakeholders, and drive readiness activities while maintaining strong governance and delivering on key milestones.

Key Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Craft, execute, and monitor completion of detailed transition plans including cutover, business readiness, transition to support, and hypercare.
  • Lead coordination across IT, HR, and external vendors to align readiness tasks and deliver on schedule.
  • Manage resource allocation and dependencies across organisational workstreams.
  • Oversee cutover activities, final data migration, go-live ramp-up, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Act as the central point of contact between Program leadership, IT Services, HR, and vendors.
  • Orchestrate hypercare support for rapid issue resolution and system stabilisation.
  • Plan and execute the formal handover to BAU teams.
  • Identify risks early and implement proactive strategies to minimise disruption.
  • Prepare and deliver progress updates for senior governance forums.
  • Ensure documentation is thorough, accurate, and accessible.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards throughout the transition.
  • Manage and mentor a small direct team, including a Cutover Specialist.

Selection Criteria The successful candidate will bring:

  • Proven experience leading an ERP transition, ideally in HR, Payroll, or Workforce Management.
  • Strong project or transition management background with multi-stakeholder integration.
  • Demonstrated expertise managing schedules, resources, and deliverables in critical support phases.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to lead teams under pressure and make fast decisions to reduce disruptions.
  • Excellent problem-solving, time management, and decision-making abilities.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and quality in all deliverables, including reports and presentations.
  • Self-motivation, initiative, and the drive to work both independently and collaboratively.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with Workforce Management systems (Time & Attendance, Rostering, Scheduling).
  • Experience working in the higher education sector.
