About Us

At Harmony House, we believe in empowering people with disability to live more independently, confidently, and meaningfully. Our upcoming Disability Life Skills Course is designed to help NDIS participants build essential skills like cooking, budgeting, personal care, communication, and community access.

We are expanding our team and looking for passionate Support Workers / Life Skills Trainers who share our commitment to promoting independence, social inclusion, and quality of life in a supportive environment.

The Role

As a Life Skills Trainer, you will:

  • Facilitate and assist participants in learning daily living skills (cooking, personal care, budgeting, etc.).
  • Provide hands-on support in a group setting and 1:1 capacity.
  • Encourage participants to build independence, confidence, and community connections.
  • Maintain clear progress notes and ensure compliance with NDIS standards.
  • Collaborate with the Harmony House team to deliver tailored and engaging sessions.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working in disability support, community care, or similar roles.
  • Certificate III or IV in Disability, Aged Care, Community Services (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to support people with disability.
  • Ability to work flexible hours during program dates.
